Two-Thousand and Eighteen was an era of great realignment for
Permanent Nostalgia. After two years of darkness we embarked on finding our
foothold in a new visual standard for the label. We think it worked. At least
we feel ok about it. The home tape-er scene we reemerged in was a bit different;
saddened by the apparent shuttering of tomentosa, among other odd occurrences. I
guess people live lives and other things happen too. Feeling timeworn and eroded
notwithstanding we ponder: How does one
reach more ears? Doth thou needest to tour? Is fucking goddamn Instagram really
the next plateau of marketing synergy? Whatever.
Regardless of our existential blathering, 2019 should still be
really cool. Thank you to the few of you who still check our stuff out. A
handful of things are in the works already, as we daydream of other formats,
and reviving some classic collaboration(s). The aim for 2019 is to get to
release no. 50 before the impending apocalypse. Fingers crossed as we battle time,
devourer of all things.
